Do laws actually protect us from (domestic) violence, and what is needed in the fight against the patriarchy? I discuss these questions in the second edition of <em>What a crime <\/em>with Asha Hedayati and Friederike H\u00e4user. As a family lawyer, Asha Hedayati represents women affected by violence in separation, divorce, and protection against violence proceedings. She trains social workers from women's shelters and counseling centers throughout Germany, lectures on family law and child and youth welfare law at universities, and is the author of the bestseller <em>Die stille Gewalt \u2013 wie der Staat Frauen alleine l\u00e4sst<\/em>. Friederike H\u00e4user is a social worker and criminologist. She works in the field of right-wing extremism and as a freelance author. Her topics include graffiti, police criticism, spatial strategies, and penal practices.
