I studied philosophy, Romance languages, and cultural journalism in Cologne, Bordeaux, and Berlin. As an editor and freelance journalist, I have worked for various media outlets, including Zeit Online and Deutschlandfunk Kultur, as well as for different podcast formats, among them the award-winning Spotify Original Podcast 190220 – Ein Jahr nach Hanau and as host for the Spotify Original Podcast Man lernt nie aus. I regularly work as a moderator and have served as a curator for the Literarisches Colloquium Berlin and the Goethe-Institut, as well as for various cultural events.
In 2024, together with media scholars Holger Pötzsch and Thomas Spies, I edited the first comprehensive German-language anthology with critical perspectives on video games. It is titled Spiel*Kritik and was published by transcript Verlag.
I have written texts for theatrical productions at Nationaltheater Mannheim and Schauspielhaus Bochum. Since 2025, I have been hosting my own talk series at Schauspielhaus Bochum.
In 2021, my nonfiction bestseller Radikale Zärtlichkeit – Warum Liebe politisch ist (HarperCollins) was published. In 2023, the bestseller HASS – Von der Macht eines widerständigen Gefühls, an experimental essay, followed. In 2026, my debut novel Zeit der Monster will be published by Hanser Verlag. My books have been translated into several languages.
